MORTAL DECAY - a classick US brutal death metal band that is FINALLY getting the adoration they have always deserved. Their early 90s demos are hands down some of my favorite demos of all fucking time. John Paoline's vocals on those rival the frog burps of Antii Boman of DEMILICH. For this second full length, John Paoline returned on the mic after stepping away from the band for their first full length.

This album is my personal favorite album from the band. It is a technical death metal masterpiece (before tech death became a derogatory term [at least to me, anyway]). EXTREMELY brutal and EXTREMELY unsettling. Nothing compares to this record and the band were never able to top it. Truly, the pinnacle of their career.

I cannot stress how mandatory this album is. I have the original 2002 Unique Leader CD release and I've spun it more times that I could ever count. When I saw Dissonant Tapes were releasing it (for the first time) on vinyl, I was beyond stoked. You should be too.
